The Dworkin Report: Evidence Tying Donald Trump To Russia was prepared in 2016 by the Democratic Coalition Against Trump (DCAT).
DCAT was formed in early 2016 and is now focused on holding Trump accountable to the American people. DCAT has representatives in all 50 states. It’s also created a popular Boycott Trump app and coordinates the star-studded group Artists Against Trump. Here is an overview of DCAT’s The Dworkin Report, named for its author Scott Dworkin, that was emailed to President Obama and other government officials in November 2016:
DCAT opens the report by stating that 249 businesses in Russia are registered with Trump (Трамп) in the name. For example: LLC BALTIC TRUMP; LLC WEB TRUMP; LLC AUTO TRUMP; LLC TRUMP PLUS. The list is viewable on a Google spreadsheet. To build a list of 200 such companies yourself, you can search at https://egrul.nalog.ru/#.
Next the report presents a timeline of Trump’s alleged activities with Russia. It starts in May 1987 with reference to Trump telling a businessman that he was traveling to Russia. It next quotes an October 1987 newspaper article that Trump was in talks to build “a casino in Las Vegas, a hotel in Moscow – and a White House in Washington.”
Other points include Trump’s 1987 business meeting with Gorbachev regarding a Trump Hotel in Moscow; the odd transfer in 2008 of an overpriced Trump mansion to a Russian buyer who never moved in; the sale of Trump Super Premium Vodka in Russia in 2009; a 2013 TV interview in which Trump says he “has a relationship” with Putin; and more.
Toward the end of the report many items are focused on the Trump-Putin connection specifically. For example, readers are reminded of Ivanka Trump’s photo from 2016 that shows her vacationing with Putin’s girlfriend – who also introduced Ivanka to her now-husband Jared Kushner.
As The Dworkin Report makes clear, data contradict Donald Trump’s claim of freedom from Russian entanglements. In 2016 Trump stated on CBS Miami, “I mean, I have nothing to do with Russia. I don’t have any jobs in Russia. I’m all over the world but we’re not involved in Russia.”
